While I was taking this photo, I was thinking about how I could capture the movement along with implementing some interesting portrait techniques along into it. The portrait technique I used in this photo is: Shoot Candidly. You can see this because the subject is in action and not posing.
While I was taking this photo, I was thinking of how to use the light to help make this photo look more interesting. I had the sun in a nice position so I took a few photos hoping to get a good one with it's light. So, the portrait technique I used in this photo is: Experiment with lighting. I caught the sun really well in this photo to create a lens flare and pull the attention from the subject to the light.
